We at Monkeybin AS have achieved a solid success with our original Hyspherical game but it was time to take it to another level. Since the gameplay was pretty simple, we explored various ideas on how to keep it that way but also to "spice it up" with some new gameplay assets.
The challenge was to create interesting and engaging 100+ levels and balance their difficulty. With a lot of brainstorming, internal and user testing, I was able to achieve that. The results were great and we got an Apple feature in the Best New Games category with an awesome position in the App Store!
